MOUNTAIN:house Wins two 2016 New Hampshire Design Awards

We are thrilled to announce that INTERSTICE Architects won two 2016 New Hampshire Home Design Award for Excellence in Architectural Design, and the 2016 Home of the Year Honorable Mention! for our MOUNTAIN:house project. Located in Bartlett, New Hampshire, MOUNTAIN:house is a secluded, peaceful, year-round residence designed for avid mountain enthusiasts. Surrounded by the White Mountains National Forest, the clients wished to be intimately connected to the lush surrounding elements with materials comprised of local slate, concrete, and exposed plywood. The raw material palette draws inspiration from woodsheds, barns, and rough-hewn mountain lodges; creating an atmosphere that is at once contemporary and timeless.
