DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Jenny brings her aspiration to create environmentally conscious and community-engaged places to all of her work at INTERSTICE.  She is a detail-oriented and results driven designer who especially thrives on the collaborative aspects of architecture.  Her innate curiosity and questioning nature enables her to lead consultant coordination efforts particularly effectively, as she is always looking for the better solution at every twist and turn.  Jenny is a team player who demonstrates her dedication to design and architecture through her desire to work out the details and research their constructability along the process.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and received her Master’s of Architecture at University of Virginia. Between those degrees, she worked in the field of landscape architecture contributing to the professional projects through the lens of the interaction of architecture and landscape and the shared values that create exceptional projects.  She particularly enjoys working at various scales from the intimate details of a pavilion to the larger project challenges of campus work.  Her current architectural inspirations include the work of Kengo Kuma, Weiss/Manfredi and Rural Studio – enthralled by their keen evaluation of resources and circular systems of material use.

Jenny spends her time outside the office enjoying travel, exploring different cultures, foods, art, and styles of living. Inspired by her travels and while closer to home, she enjoys the immediacy of making ceramics and other hand crafts.
