BURGER RESIDENCE FEATURED IN CALIFORNIA HOME AND DESIGN

The Burger Residence kitchen is featured in the July/August 2010 Issue of California Home and Design Magazine.  This kitchen, featured on pages 118-119 of the issue, highlights the potential of a small space to create big impact in the connectivity between interior and exterior living spaces.

MISSION HOUSE SELECTED FOR AIASF HOME TOURS

Located in the Mission District of San Francisco, the house, viewed as a case study, explores use of unconventional and waste stream materials.  The facade uses reclaimed sealed glazing units, sourced locally from reclamation yards, to create a translucent mosaic facade.

 

INTERSTICE ARCHITECTS IN WINTER ISSUE OF ARC-CA

IA’s submission to the 2009 Off-Grid 2.0 competition is featured in the 09.4 Issue of arcCA, Infrastructure.  The project, titled Agri-structure|Eco-structure, was awarded the Special Jury Commendation.

New online forum is launched to present not only news pertinent to IA’s work, but also inspirations, insights, ruminations, and IA’s critical interest in design.  The blog is meant to serve as both a medium for presentation and as a platform for research.

IA WINS COMMENDATION AWARD IN OFF-GRID 2.0 IDEAS COMPETITION

Interstice Architects’ entry “Agristructure | Ecostructure” won the Special Jury Commendation Award in the 2009 Off-Grid 2.0 Design Competition. The jury noted that the solution was “highly engaged in activities that support environmental learning.”

INTERSTICE ARCHITECTS COMPLETES RENOVATION OF ITS NEW OFFICE

IA’s new office at 587 Shotwell Street in San Francisco’s Mission District is complete – the biggest improvement being the glass enclosed conference room made from a simple wood frame structure, reclaimed clouded glass panels, and custom mounting brackets fabricated in IA’s shop.
